Intermediate Intensive Workshop Week 1

$675.00 Sale Save

Enjoy a week of artistic exploration in the glorious countryside while learning from celebrated artists.

This workshop invites you to new techniques in a community setting that will transform your approach to ceramics. Over the course of 5 days (July 14-18, 2025, 9am-4pm) you will be guided in finding your artistic voice, and help narrow in on the aspects of creation that uniquely resonate with you.

This inspiring week will be led by Marie Drolet, founder of Muraï Céramique and L'atelier de l'Aube. Marie will be joined by guest artists Michelle Lemire (Atelier Galerie Solart) & Kathrin Von Dehn.

Michelle Lemire will host demonstrations over a couple days on throwing large pieces in sections on the wheel. This demonstration will enable you to perfect your artistic approach by throwing more complex, balanced shapes to create larger format functional or
decorative pieces.

Kathrin von Dehn will show you how to create a colourful sculptural insect of your own. These hollow forms combine many handbuilding and surface decoration techniques tha Kathrin will share with us.

The demonstrations and discussion times will be held in the morning with blocks of time dedicated to working on your personal projects in the afternoon. This course is designed for students with previous ceramics experience.

All materials are included in the price. Bring your favorite tools, a water bottle and lunch.
