Beginners Intensive

Course Description

You wish to explore your creativity in an inspiring natural and relaxed environment? Take part in this one-week ceramics workshop with Véronique Caron-Bossé. From August 12th to 16th, 2024, from 9:30am to 12pm, experiment with throwing, hand-building, sculpting and decorating techniques. A sixth day reserved for glazing your pieces will take place on July 24th from 9:30-12pm. You will learn: - Introduction to throwing - Slab-building, coiling, pinch pots techniques - Sculpting techniques - Decorating (slips, underglazes, sgraffito, etc) - Glazing techniques Maximum of 10 students per group. There are 5 pottery wheels, so the time will be shared between throwing and handbuilding techniques. All materials and firings are included. All classes are bilingual. Classes are given on chemin de la Montagne, Wakefield (Edelweiss), Québec. Exact address and other details will be sent by email a few weeks before the activity.
